Yvonne Jagtenberg

Yvonne Jagtenberg schreef en tekende meerdere boeken die werden bekroond. In 2023 schreef en tekende ze het CPNB Prentenboek van het jaar Mijn Huis is Jouw Huis. In 2022 won ze de Bronzen Penseel met Ik ben Pippi niet! (uitgeverij Gottmer). Haar eerste (jeugd)roman(10+) verscheen in 202, Wandert de laatste jongen die naar zijn ouders luisterde (uitgeverij Querido). Het werd o.a. getipt door de GVP (afl.49 de GVP (podcast) en kreeg lovende recensies in landelijke kranten. In 2020 won Jagtenberg het Gouden penseel voor Hup Herman (Gottmer) en in 2019 voor Mijn Wonderlijke Oom (Querido). De jury schreef: Het boek is in alle opzichten een ode aan de kracht van de verbeelding. Het is een pleidooi voor vrijheid, voorstellingsvermogen en avontuur. Een wonderlijke uitdagend boek dat meerdere keren gelezen kan worden. 

Jagtenberg debuteerde met haar eerst prentenboek in 2001 (uitgeverij Hillen) In 2002 en ontving voor haar gehele oeuvre HET CHARLOTTE KÖHLER STIPENDIUM. In 2006 ontving zij voor Balotje en het Paard (uitgeverij Leopold), een VLAG EN WIMPEL. Daarop volgde een aantal prijzen in het buitenland. Verschillende karakters van haar hand zijn oa Arno, Balotje, De fantastische Max van Mars en Klein monster Motta. In 2016 ontving Jagtenberg voor Hondje de enige echte (Querido) een ZILVEREN PENSEEL. In 2019 voor Mijn wonderlijke oom (uitgeverij Querido) een GOUDEN PENSEEL. Volgens de jury is het boek een ode aan de kracht van de verbeelding. In 2021 verscheen haar boek over de na-oorlogse jeugd van haar vader Wandert, de laatste jongen die naar zijn ouders luisterde bij uitgeverij Querido. Het jaar daarop verscheen Het huis van Hopper, over beroemde kunstenaars hun huis, werk en leven. Het boek kwam tercht op de Longlist van de BOON-prijs. Het prentenboek Ik ben Pippi niet! (Gottmer) werd bekroond met een BRONZEN PENSEEL en werd gekozen voor de Voorleestoptien 2023.  Haar laatste prentenboek Piet de kat die wil weten wat hij wél mag eten (Gottmer 2023) ontving lovende recensies. 

De Boeken van Jagtenberg zijn veelvuldig vertaald en gepresenteerd op internationale exposities als de "Dutch Oranges", "An Elephant Came By" en "Dutch Treats. Daarnaast schrijft Jagtenberg mee aan scenario’s en filmprojecten. Jagtenberg schreef oa het scenario voor de de documentaire over Alex Roeka (uur vd Wolf/NTR). Haar werkt wordt geroemd vanwege de eenvoud, humor en krachtige beeldtaal.
